The only problem I forsee is that some people think that F-1/OPT is not a dual-intent visa, i.e., one gets a student visa upon expressing their intention of not immigrating. Therefore going from F-1 to H-1B to Green card is the more preferred route. However, some people feel that as a dependent going from F-1 to Green Card is fine.
Hoepfully, others may have a better understanding on this than me.

i always start a drawing or anything, with primitives. Usually circles and curves because they are organik..if i want something more rigid i uses cubes...then i try to visualize that primitives potential and how i can link it to something else alter in the composition...after i do that 1 of 2 things happen, I either do it or i get scared ima ruin it and just go work on something else.

So If the bill passes I even can't apply for LC and so force to go back after 6 years.
Now as everybody is ready to file for 485 nobody cares about this CIR bill but me only.

How long can one stay out of Canada once landed as a permanent resident? Is it 2 years or 3 years???
I did my landing in July 06 and have received canadian PR but then moved back to US since then and have not visited Canada since.
Can somebody please provide some input on this? Friend of mine told me that i have to move before July, 08 in order to maintain canadian PR status. Is it true?

The line in bold above is NOT TRUE. You can work in the USA with the approved H1B even if it is not stamped and even if you arrived using H4. All you need is a SSN along with the approved H1B to start working.
What you say is true if the approval notice (I-797) has I-94 attached. If not, then she needs to go out of the country to change status.
In other words, the status is determined by I-94.

Will this be a problem in name check process of I-485. I have contacted my lawyer and waiting on his reponse. If he gives me a go ahead I am going to fix it first thing monday morning.

I have not even filed the I-485 yet. I just gave an objective thought to your problem - I personally would have had it fixed. At the very least, find out if it is just a typo on the card, or if your name associated with the number is backwards, which I think is a serious issue.

It might never be asked. However, the only time it is asked is when you dont have it with you.
Be prepared to carry a transparent plastic bag or so with all the documents. Its a pain but better to be careful.:(

One will wonder that Indian Government will do something as the India and her economy are benefited by EB immigration big time in last decade. In the global economy the overseas workers are the greatest strength India has and as usual they are completely ignoring the problems faced by EB immigrants in the USA.

In this land where honey and milk flows, i always have that anxiety of loosing ( by virtue of lay off ) 'affordable' health care coverage and i haven't fully read what all fine-print stuff BlueCross Prudent Buyer plan have. And i do have a chronic condition. Currently the monthly premium is around $500 for the 3 member family.

Here is what I would do..
1. Pay off your debts..
2. Collect 6 months of paycheck equivalent money in CDs.
3. Buy life insurance.
4. contribute to 401K if employer offers a match.
5. Start children's education fund (4o3b?)
6. Buy some gold may be 5-10% of savings.
7. Invest in US based large cap consistent dividend yielding stocks > 4% yield (example:- PFE & T).
8. Invest in an index fund with exposure to global economies with low expense ratio.
9. Invest in your health (gym membership or equipment etc..)
10. Buy some real estate if you can afford.
Anything left over from this you should be put in equity tranche of a Synthetic CDO-Squared and hedge the USD-INR fluctuation on the payout of your investments by buying long dated Quanto options maturing at the expiration of your H1 or patience in waiting for GC-which ever comes first.

Its illegal to work on H4 with ITIN, you need to have SSN, why did you even mention that on the tax papers. Try to hire a good lawyer to handle your case.

I am scheduling an Infopass appointment at my local USCIS office in the hope of getting an interim EAD. It has been more than 90 days since they received my application.
I have a few questions:
1. What do i need to bring?
2. What should i expect?
3. What kind of questions would they ask?

Take your original receipt notice and the infopass appointment sheet so you will be let in to talk to someone.
The officer there will email/call/get in touch with the service center who is processing your EAD application to see what is happening. The reality is that normally you will get your 'actual' EAD within two weeks from then. It takes as much time to produce and send an interim card (also big waste of money) as it does for them to adjudicate your application.
It really is no big deal.

There is a very good chance that the gov't will seek to remove your son from the US even if he is only found guilty of misdemeanors.
And why is that?
The misdemeanors could be NOT CMT....only CMT crimes are deportable or serious felonys right?
If the crimes are not crimes of moral turpitude then they are not deportable under immigration law?

Ann & Others, thanks for your valuable inputs, My visa stamp on my passport expired last week but I do have a valid extended I-94 from my extended H1 petition. So I'm getting the option from Company A to go US Consulate in Abroad, get restamped based on my current valid H1 Petition from Company A and enter US using it and join Company A directly which will clear all problems including the unauthorized employment.
