The big news today was Senator Reid now backtracking and promising climate change legislation before immigration reform. But in a seeming effort to show the Democrats are close to ready to go on immigration reform, Senators Reid, Schumer and Menendez began circulating a detailed outline of a comprehensive immigration reform bill that appears to exclude Senator Graham. How can we help ourselves to get 2 year AP ? IV admins, can you kindly share with us any info regarding this ?
I know at this moment everyone is looking at the stimulus plan and economy, but , in the mean time we can prepare ourselves with some plan of action...
May be we should push for 3 year EAD/AP . Our argument should be, if we are 3 or more years away ( like EB3 India is currently 2001 or something ), we should get 3 year EAD/AP
Not meant to talk only for EB3 community, but in general as well.
Any thoughts IVians ?

A story just came in from CNN an Arizona man caught leaving water bottles in the desert for illegal immigrants has been sentenced to 300 hours of community service and a year of probation.

I used to fedex EAD and AP applications etc to this Augustine Road address before. After introducing lock boxes, they changes the fedex address too.I am planning to submit AC21. Do i need send to Lewisville address? Any experience in this regards is highly appreciated. Thanks for taking time to read.

It is advisable to file change of status to h4 while in USA, no need to go back to India. After you get your h4 approved then you can go for stamping...

I filed my I-485 in Aug�2007 and my I-140 is approved in EB2. My daughter was on dependent H-4 and her I-485 also was filed in Aug�07 as dependent on my GC. She completed 21 year in June�2008.
My question is if we receive our GC in current year, she will get GC as she already crossed 21 years? Appreciate your answer and thank you in advance.

The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports on today's citizenship swearing in of Irish-born James Patrick O'Donnell. Mr. O'Donnell immigrated to the US at the age of 4 in 1926 and fought for our country in World War II and won a Bronze Battle Star. In 1987, Mr. O'Donnell applied for a passport to go on a cruise and was told that he was not a citizen despite his clear recollection of being naturalized before shipping out during the war. It took nearly 20 years and was never resolved, but today USCIS will finally resolve the matter by naturalizing this American hero....

Employer A - LC applied in Dec 07, Currently on 7th year extension till Jan 2010. Stamped visa.
Employer B wishes to recruit me by transfer H1-B and utilize recapture time. The total time they would get is till Apr 2010 (which includes recpature time) along with 7th year I-797.
Employer B wishes to file LC 1 month after I join them.
Assuming that I join them by end of Dec 2009, I have the following questions about my H1-B extension
Lets consider Dec 30th as the date to start the LC application.
What I understand is that based on the LC from Employer B,
Can I get extension on my H1-B beyond APR 2010.
for 1 yr - Based on LC from employer B being pending/approved until Apr 2010
for 3 yr - Based on LC from employer B being approved and I-140 approved.
Apply for premium processing of I-140 before 60 days of Apr 2010 if LC is approved and I-140 is pending.
Your response is appreciated.
