At this point, waiting another 3 - 5 months for an iPhone 5 would be more prudent than being locked into something so soon before a new device comes out.BL.

MacWorld, quarterly report and market in general. Expectations of MacWorld beyond reality and can't top iPhone. Quarterly report also not up to predictions, most of which were not from Apple. The rest was tracking the market, in general (compare today's chart for AAPL with the Dow).

here is a b/w series from an abandoned shipyard/harbour before it underwent some reconstruction, I will try to post others in the next couple of days.

Are people firing up their lawyers because Apple does not update their iPhone 3G that came with iOS 3 when they bought it in june 2010 ? Doesn't the licence flyer in the box say Apple will supply the current iOS version +1 ?

After waiting two years for TMO to get the iPhone, I just threw up my arms in disgust at the merger news and moved over to VZ. Wish I could get confirmation before my thirty days with VZ are up.
For those of you talking trash about TMO's network: While their overall coverage is not as good as VZ's, their speed network wide is better than either VZ or AT&T. Much better. Much, much better. Trust me. I know.

Am i the only person who is relieved that the iPhone 5 and iPad 3 aren't coming out anytime soon? I feel like i've lucked out buying an iPhone that isn't revised in a year of me buying it! I would be devastated if an iPad 3 came out in september, i don't like being constantly last generation. Plus the IP4 and iPad2 are pretty great as they are

This kind of thing can't be too far off. A 75 mhz Performa could do it in a rudimentary way. Imagine what a modern Mac may be able to do. "Speakeasy" has a nice ring to it.
Have you ever used "Speakable Items" in OS X? When it works, which, in my experience, on Intel Macs is a big if, it is remarkably flexible and wonderful. It's a refined version of Mac OS 8 thru 9's, but has been neglected, I think. It's not to the point where you are talking about, but if Apple dedicated an entire team to it, I believe we could see it in a couple of point releases.
You can already attach it to almost any system and application command, applescripts, hotkeys (cmd-A), menus, etc but its biggest problem is voice recognition (and stability). If they could work these kinks out, then I'd expect it to be a very refined and usable piece of software.
Speaking of which, does anyone with the preview and an Intel Mac know how well Speakable Items performs? I have hopes because of Steve's presentation on improvements to "Universal Access."

i'm on my second mighty mouse [soon to be third once i have this once replaced] in 6 months. the scroll wheel stops working pretty quickly. i don't find the size of it all too comfortable.. but when it's fully functional it's a decent mouse.
if they don't fix the scroll wheel issues though, i'd say the BT version is worthless. it's unacceptable that apple hasn't fixed this issue on the wired version. they can replace it all they want, it's still going to break a month or two later. plus, it takes 30 minutes or so for them to replace it, which is rather annoying.
all in all, cool that it's BT now, but terrible if they don't fix both versions.
