Sent the all the existing I 94's and Passport.
Guys,
my RFE response reached VSC on Oct 31st and online status says
Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed.
Anyone with idea on how long approx it will take to get approval. Have to travel by end of Nov and USCIS delay is resulting in really expensive air fare.
Let's keep all of us updated on these RFE on AP.

Just called USCIS to find out the estimated processing time to get gc for indyanguy. you will get it in 265 days and 2 hours.

if you have time (like vacation, travel out of US ...) available "recapture" them

This has been discussed, we can't help.
It takes time for people to come on same page.
Lot of lawyers have conference calls with their clients - discuss what "their clients" must do.
One good thing is a lot of our members under the IV umbrella have the zeal to do something. Looking at the Munnabhai threads etc...
It is a matter of time before we get organized. IV core is working hard on various aspects.
Before anyone does anything under the IV umbrella - please contact sertasheep or pappu or macaca.
It takes time for people to come on same page.

Easy way is let her go to India and stamp H-4 based on your approved H1 ASAP.
All other process takes time. This will take less than 2 weeks.
My wife didnot apply for green card yet. I have EAD and AP. Since dates are not current my wife couldnt apply for GC

If your PD is in May'06 or early Jun'06, I think paying a visit to USCIS center won't hurt. Checking online status is a waste of time. At least you'll know what's going on with it. The IO I went to was very nice lady and gave me all the details. I thought that there would a line of GC aspirants like me :) waiting in USCIS center (in bay area) but to my surprise it was empty! Hope this helps

when did you file your 485? I really woudnt balme you for calling multiple times..but if its been 60 days since the current processesing dates(check the processing date of the service center you filed your case at) then there is absolutely no harm calling them to check the status.
Finally, I am current now, I spoke to IO today again ( Again means I call them every month, every week atleast once & So far I got Nice IO's)
She said your case is in current processing time, has not been yet assigned to any officer. checked all the status NC/SC/FP, everything is clear, just waiting for an officer to be assigned. call back after 15-20 days If I dont get any response.

Last week we all got the LUD of 08/05/2007 also a Sunday. My lawyer said maybe it was a mass update, but now I am beginning to wonder if that is the case.
Now this is a THEORY but what if every Sunday they are updating the packages being sent from NSC to TSC. The very fact that there is an LUD update means 1 important thing

Maybe it is my wishful thinking, but i feel that seeing mass LUD updates on 2 consecutive Sundays is too much to be a mere coincidence.

As per my immig. atty it takes between 2-3 months for the h1 to h4 processing. Unfortunately there is no premium processing for h4 unless you piggy back it with an h1 processing. Hope this helps.

Having 3 days left for your date to be current does not mean much if you are thinking of getting your GC on oct 1. Not everyone gets the GC as soon as the dates get current. Ask people whose dates became current in June. Have you also checked if your name check is cleared?
